It is often useful to group the beams into "clusters". This facilitates setting beam parameters for groups of beams, as the properties of all beams within a cluster can be edited by right-clicking on the cluster, and selecting the properties to be modified.
To add a new cluster to the Laser Beams List, select Lasers | Cluster | Add. The clustering of beams is displayed in the Laser Beams List.
One or more beams can be moved to a cluster by:
The names of clusters can be changed and clusters can be deleted by selecting the cluster with the right mouse button. Only empty clusters can be deleted.
Laser beam cluster configurations can be saved in files located in the Laser Beam Clusters Library. To view the library, select the Lasers | Open Configurations Library menu item.
Users can specify a Default Cluster Configuration to use when starting a new session of VISRAD. To do this, set the default configuration in the Lasers tab of the Preferences Dialog.
